About Bonus Bagging

Bonus Bagging is one of the original matched betting services and was founded in 2010 by Mike Cruickshank. Mike has various matched betting products and tools which he has developed over the years and Bonus Bagging was his first. One of his other popular products is Profit Maximiser which we have reviewed and found it to be a solid matched betting service.

Bonus Bagging is the baby brother of Profit Maximiser and is mainly for people looking to make a quick few hundred pounds risk-free. It focuses on bookmaker sign up bonuses and doesn’t go too deeply into reload bonuses or other slightly more advanced matched betting practices such as accumulator refund offers. Therefore, the profit you can make with Bonus Bagging is slightly limited. However, for only a one-off fee of £27, is Bonus Bagging worth it? We’ll take a look in this review.

Bonus Bagging Pricing

Full access to Bonus Bagging costs £27 for a lifetime membership. There are no monthly subscription offers available, although we did find that if you stay on the Bonus Bagging homepage long enough you may be offered a £1 trial for 7 days when you go to close the browser window. £27 isn’t a great deal if you use the service as you should be able to make around £500 within a month pretty easily.

First thoughts on Bonus Bagging

Like with all of Mike Cruickshanks products, the homepage of BonusBagging.co.uk is a long drawn out sales pitch promising risk-free profits and a financially-free lifestyle. You’re better off reading a review like this one to get a better understanding of what Bonus Bagging is all about as the sales page doesn’t actually give too much away about how everything works.

So what is Bonus Bagging?

Bonus Bagging is a simple matched betting service which provides the guides and the tools necessary to make a guaranteed profit from bookmaker sign up bonuses. As mentioned above, the service focuses on sign up bonuses and only a handful of reload bonuses and so long-term matched betting is not something that Bonus Bagging provides. If you’re looking to make money month in month out with matched betting then you’re better off going for a service such as MatchedBets or OddsMonkey. However, if you’re after some quick profits of up to £500 then Bonus Bagging may be for you.

To sign up to Bonus Bagging click on the payment button on the Bonus Bagging homepage and you will be redirected to Clickbank to make payment. This is a one-time payment for a lifetime subscription to Bonus Bagging and you will not be billed again.

After making your payment you will be sent an email with your log in details and another with a link to a user guide on how to get started.

Bonus Bagging Offer Guides

As mentioned above, after you have registered you will be sent a link to a user guide. We strongly recommend that you watch the videos on this page and download the guide at the bottom of the page which will explain how matched betting works and how to use the Bonus Bagging service. There are also a list of FAQs on this page which should clear up some of the questions you may have.

Bonus Bagging is aimed towards users who haven’t done matched betting before but the whole process on getting started isn’t the clearest. The information is there but it could be a lot more organised to make things easier.

After watching the videos and reading the user guide you should now be ready to place your first bet. Bonus Bagging works slightly different to other matched betting services in that you don’t have to find the events to bet on yourself. When you’re ready to get started you can click on the ‘Request a Bet’ button and within 3 minutes you will be emailed a bookmaker offer and a corresponding bet to place in order to receive your free bet.

Bonus Bagging Request A Bet

How to request a bet from Bonus Bagging to get started

Once you have requested a bet you will be emailed with a bet to place and instructions on how to place it. The email you’ll receive is very basic but it does take the hassle away from finding your own bets using the odds matcher. My only concern with this method is that odds can change frequently and if they do, the stakes that you have been emailed will be incorrect and could actually cost you money. There was a link in the first bet I received that took me to a calculator to edit the lay stakes if the odds had changed but there were no links in further request-a-bet emails.

Below is an example of an email you’ll receive after requesting a bet :

You can request up to 3 bets per day or you have the option of finding your own match using the Bonus Bagging odds matcher tool. There aren’t actually any guides on how to use the odds matcher but if you have received a bet for a specific bookmaker you can select this bookmaker in the drop down menu of the odds matcher and it will display the best events to bet on in order with the best events at the top. Clicking on the ‘Info’ button next to an event will open up the calculator where you can enter your back stake and it will automatically generate your lay stake. Using the odds matcher to find your bets will sometimes be the best option as the bets you receive via email can be a few days ahead.

Once you have placed your qualifying bet you can go back to the ‘request-a-bet’ page and click on the ‘Claim Free Bet’ button. You will then be emailed another bet to use with your free bet you will have received from the bookmaker.

If you miss a bet that you have been sent or the event starts before you have had a chance to place the bet, you can either find another match to bet on using the odds matcher or you can used the ‘missed bets’ feature. To receive another bet for a bookmaker offer, visit the missed bets page, select which bookmaker offer you want to receive a bet for and click the ‘restore’ button. You will then be sent a replacement bet to place.

Bonus Bagging Tools

Bonus Bagging doesn’t offer many matched betting tools as it is simply a service to make a profit from bookmaker sign up offers and your bets are emailed to you so you don’t really need a calculator or odds matcher to match bet. However, both an odds matcher and calculator are available should you wish to find your own bets to place.

Odds Matcher

bonus Bagging Odds Matcher

The odds matcher provided by Bonus Bagging lists sporting events that have a close match of odds between the bookmaker and the betting exchange with the best matches being displayed at the top of the list. The odds matcher does not update in real time and does so every 30 minutes and so it is important that you click the refresh button to check the odds haven’t changed before placing your bets. There is an advanced odds matcher available that updates in real time and has a bunch of other features but this comes at an extra cost of  £97.50 + VAT. For the basic matched betting offers you will be doing with Bonus Bagging, this odds matcher should work just fine.

There is the option to filter the results in the odds matcher by a specific bookmaker or by min/max odds. Other options included in the advanced odds matcher allow you to filter by sport, of which there are additions of greyhounds, american football, snooker and tennis along with the football and horse racing options you have in the basic odds matcher. The advanced odds matcher also shows in-play odds although this feature is not needed for the use of Bonus Bagging.

The odds matcher includes a good number of bookmakers and all the ones which relate to the emails sent to you for the sign up offers. It also includes exchange odds from Betfair, Smarkets, Betdaq and Matchbook.

Calculator

To open up the matched betting calculator, click on the ‘info’ icon next to an event in the odds matcher. The calculator will be pre-configured with the odds from the selected event. If you wish to use the calculator for an event not on the odds matcher, simply change the odds to that of your new bet.

Bonus Bagging Calculator

The calculator doesn’t have many advanced functions but it does feature what you need for simple bookmaker sign up bonuses. You are able to select options for either your qualifying bet or for using your free bets, stake not returned or stake returned. It’s a basic matched betting calculator but all you need for use with Bonus Bagging offers.

Conclusion

Providing you don’t have accounts at all of the bookmakers listed on Bonus Bagging, there’s no doubt that the service will make you a profit. It’s matched betting after all which is guaranteed to. However, the Bonus Bagging site isn’t very well laid out and may be confusing to matched betting beginners in which it is aimed at. There are many matched betting sites that offer a much more complete service than Bonus Bagging which can make you just as much profit within a month for a cheaper price. We do like the having bets sent via email as it will obviously help beginners although this method is somewhat flawed if odds change between the time of receiving the bet via email and getting around to placing the bet.
