What is the timeline for the Saratoga Race Course meet? 

This 2019 Saratoga racing summer meet will last for 40 days.  It started in the first week of July and will end on September 4th, which is Labor Day. It runs for around seven weeks and several scheduled racing events will take place featuring different horse racing classes. You will also see various breeds of colts, fillies and mares all looking for a win.


what is the seating like?

The seating arrangement in the Saratoga Race Course comes in two types. The first one is general admission, or free-seating, where you simply choose where you wish to sit. Included with the cost of the free-seating package is a free picnic table should you wish to sit outside and enjoy food and drinks. Make sure you arrive on time as there will be a lot of people trying to get the best spot to watch the races.

Reserved seating is also available and comes at a special price during the admission. With this package, you have the choice to select where you wish to sit inside the Grandstand. If you are willing to pay a little more, then you can get the best seat where you can have the best angle of the race course. 


How much do admission tickets cost? 

The cost of Grandstand and General admission is $7, and for Nelson Avenue entrance you have to pay $10. There are also various prices with regards to the types of races happening in Saratoga Race Course. 

For the first race, which is the Traverse Day, you can pay $10 and $15 General Admission. If you need to access the Grandstand and the Clubhouse, entrance fee costs $25. Admission is free for children 12 years old and under provided that an adult accompanies him or her. 


Where do I buy reserved seating admission tickets?

There are accredited websites that you can visit to purchase your reserved tickets. You can also contact the New York Racing Association via phone on 1-844-NYRA-TIX.  You also have the chance to purchase reserved seating tickets at the racing venue. You can pay via credit/debit card over the phone or by cash on the day.


Will there be giveaways and promotions?

The Saratoga Race Course and the organizations assigned to host each horse racing event always give back something to their avid fans. You can expect a lot of freebies, giveaways, and other promotional material during the event. Some examples are T-shirts, caps, souvenirs, calendars etc. These gifts are guaranteed while stocks last as long as you purchase a general admission ticket.


Are there any other events aside from horse racing?

During summer meet in Saratoga Race Course, you can  expect a number of activities although, the horse races serve as the main events. If you want a different Saratoga summer meet experience, you can partake in some of the daily activities in line for you and your family members.

They hold several seminars which can help you in handicapping and betting on horse races. You can also take part in some of the mini-concerts hosted by the Saratoga Race Course organization and expect fun-filled family activities throughout the event.


what is the parking like? 

There are parking spaces allocated for all guests. It is recommended that you arrive early to get the best spot as it will get extremely busy. Park near the entrance for easy access and to avoid delays.
