As well as providing matched betting friendly offers, 12Bet are making a name for themselves by sponsoring the World Taekwondo Championships. They have been announced as an ‘official partner’ of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix and World Para Taekwondo Championships which will be taking place in London.
The Copperbox Arena will be playing host to the greatest taekwondo athletes in the world. Of course, the main aim for 12Bet is to provide more exposure for the company, who are trying to boost business in an increasingly competitive market. The 12Bet name will be extremely visible during the competition, which will be broadcast live on BBC Sport platforms in the UK, as well as being televised around the world, including the rest of Europe and Asia.

12Bet spokesman Rory Anderson had this to say about the deal:
“The combination of LED branding around the matt, which is also 12Bet branded, should give our brand fantastic exposure.
“I am really pleased to be involved with the 2017 World Taekwondo Grand Prix and World Para Championships. I am looking forward to 12BET receiving great brand exposure in key markets. Both events should be spectacular, and we wish all involved the best of luck.”
Julia Newton, chair of GB Taekwondo, said:
“We are proud to be hosting the best taekwondo athletes in the world for the Grand Prix and World Para Championships in London.
“12Bet have recognised the global reach and value of our sport and event and we are delighted to have them on board.”
The deal between GB Taekwondo and 12Bet was arranged by Sport Collective, who are a UK-based sports marketing agency. Sponsorship of big sporting events by bookmakers seems to be the norm in the present day. It seems rare now that a bookmaker is not the main sponsor of a big event. Of course, many mainstream football teams are also sponsored by bookmakers. Recent plans announced by the Labour Party intend to reduce or even ban certain bookmaker sponsorship deals, but it remains to be seen whether or not this will come to fruition.
One thing that is important with the deal between 12Bet and the World Taekwondo Grand Prix and World Para Taekwondo Championships is that a sport that often does not get a lot of funding and coverage will be receiving extra money thanks to the sponsorship. 12Bet also receive more exposure, so this partnership should work well for both parties.
Matched Betting With 12Bet Bookmakers
As well as the sponsorship deal, 12Bet use sports betting offers and promotions in order to attract new customers to their website. As matched bettors, this gives us a unique opportunity to turn these offers into an expected profit with the help of a matched betting calculator.
Matched betting is essentially a way of turning bookmaker offers into a profit using the help of a betting exchange. Simply place a back bet on a selection to win with the bookmaker and a lay bet on the same selection not to win on a betting exchange, such as Betfair or Smarkets.
With 12Bet, the main offer on the site at the moment is their welcome offer. If you do not yet have an account with them, you can sign up and be able to claim the welcome offer. You will then need to place six £35 bets to then receive a £35 free bet.
When placing the qualifying bets, you will need to use ‘Normal’ mode on a matched betting calculator. Even though you will be placing the qualifying bets with your own money, there is no need to worry as you will be placing a lay bet on each selection which will essentially cancel out the back bet. You will either break even for each qualifying bet or only lose a few pence each time. You should then be able to use the free bet to make a profit from the offer.
When using the free bet, you will need to use a ‘Freebet’ or ‘SNR’ mode on a matched betting calculator. The calculator will then take into account that you are using a free bet stake and will adjust the lay stake that you need to place accordingly. The fact that you will need to rely on a matched betting calculator means that a subscription to a premium matched betting site such as Matched Bets or OddsMonkey will be well worth your while.
There are some important terms to note, such as the minimum odds of 2.00 and the fact that your free bet will be credited within 24 hours of qualifying and will then be valid for five days. Once this offer is complete, an expected profit of around £17 should be yours.
This is just one welcome offer that can potentially be turned into a profit. Keep following our updates for more insight into how you can make extra money through matched betting.
