Mr Green Agrees Darts Sponsorship Deal

Mr Green

Online bookmaker Mr Green have been building a good reputation for themselves over the last few years. The company was founded back in 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden and has gone from strength to strength since. Their main early success came through the casino section, but since adding a sportsbook in 2016 the website has been taken to another level.

In order to increase brand awareness even further, Mr Green have decided to venture into sporting sponsorship. The bookmaker has agreed to a sponsorship deal with the Professional Darts Corporation, otherwise known as the PDC, where they will be the title sponsor for an event. The ‘Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals’ will take place in Somerset from 24-26 November.

The event follows on from a series of Players Championship events, and the tournament will see 64 of the worlds best Darts players all competing for a cut of the £460,000 prize pot, £100,000 of which will be awarded to the winner.

As this is the first darts sponsorship for Mr Green, they have also decided to celebrate with a series of price boosts and promotions through social media. In the lead up to the tournament, it is best to check out the numerous social media accounts that are run by Mr Green, as the price boosts and promotions will be extremely prominent. They will also be listed on Mr Green’s website, so checking their promotions page is advisable.

As the UK, Germany and the Netherlands have strong broadcasting deals for the event on TV and Radio, these are the countries most likely to benefit from the promotions.

Speaking about the deal, Jesper Kärrbrink, Mr Green Ltd CEO, said:

“We are excited to partner with the PDC and to be hosting the ‘The Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals’. Darts is a very popular sport for several of our key markets and we look forward to introducing Mr Green to this passionate fan base.”

The PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter followed this up expressing his delight at the deal.

“We’re delighted to welcome Mr Green as the new title sponsor of the Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals. This exciting tournament which will give their new sportsbook product worldwide exposure as well as great interaction with a capacity crowd in Minehead.”

This sponsorship deal comes on the back of a recent agreement with Scottish football giants Celtic FC, so it is clear that the marketing team for Mr Green are concentrating on a big sponsorship push at the moment.

The bookmaker also recently launched a new version of their sportsbook with some very interesting and innovative features. These include Instant Tennis and Football Combi Spin, which are specifically designed to make betting more fun for the user.

Matched Betting With Mr Green

In preparation for the promotions that may be listed ahead of the Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals, let’s take a look at how you could potentially make a profit from the offers already available on the Mr Green website. Here, we use the matched betting technique. This uses the help of a matched betting calculator, such as the Matched Bets or Bonus Bagging calculator in order to make an expected profit from bookmaker offers.

If you do not fully understand matched betting as of yet, remember that you can have a read through our what is matched betting? page to learn more about the process and to understand how you could benefit.

New Customer Offer

If you are not already a member with Mr Green, I would advise that you complete this offer before you attempt any of the others. As a new customer with Mr Green, if you sign up for an account and deposit and bet your first £20, they will credit you with a £10 free bet to use.

You can then use the help of a matched betting calculator, in order to turn the free bet into an expected profit thanks to the matched betting technique. The strategy is about as simple as it gets from a matched betting point of view. You will need to place a back bet with Mr Green on a selection to win, and then place a lay bet on the same selection NOT to win on a betting exchange, such as Betfair or Smarkets. These bets will then pretty much cancel each other out, and you will have qualified for the free bet.

Using your free bet is a very similar process, only using a different function on a matched betting calculator. The calculator will then work out the ideal lay stake in order to provide you with the same expected profit amount whatever happens. Once complete, this offer is worth around £7 in expected cash profit.

Weekly Free Bet

This offer does require some knowledge of how to place lay bets on accumulators, so please make sure you are fully confident on this before you attempt it. The offer itself gives you the chance to earn a £5 free bet every week and in order to claim it you must place £25 worth of bets on accumulators with a minimum of three selections.

You can make an expected profit from this offer. By laying each selection of the accumulator until it has won or one of your legs is a loser, you can keep any qualifying losses as low as possible. Then, from the free bet you could make a profit of around £3 every single week.

Best Odds Guaranteed

Best Odds Guaranteed essentially means that if you have taken a price on a horse and the Starting Price (SP) ends up being greater than the price you took, Mr Green will pay you out at the bigger odds should the horse go on to win. As an example, if you were to place a £20 bet on Space Oddity to win with odds of 5/1 (6.0) your return would be £120. If the Starting Price drifted to 6/1 (7.0), your returns are £140 instead.

Through matched betting you can also add potential profits with this offer. As the possible return at the exchange will never change, you could have a good win if the bookmaker bet wins and the Starting Price was greater than the price you took.
